You Capture. Rustic

This week, over here at

Photobucket

is having another You Capture challenge, and the theme is Rustic.

Well, living here in Southern California, there is nothing rustic. Nothing. I knew I was going to have a hard time with this theme, since there are no farms around where I live.

But, I tried to pull off something. I could only photograph the country decor I have at home. I apologize, please bear with me. This is the best I could do:

Now it's your turn. Happy Capture, everyone!

You Capture. Week 7

This week, over here at I should be Folding Laundry, is having a different, creative theme: fun.

This photo was taken when one of my best friends from high school came over last week.

We were in the kitchen, I was experimenting..

..while everyone else was socializing in the living room.

We had a good laugh, and result came out well.

You can be next, too...those of you who love photography! Hop over to

Photobucket

and enter one of your own!

You Capture. Week 6.

This week, over here at

Photobucket

is talking all about spring.

Living here in Southern California, the concept of spring is but a word. I remember living on the East Coast, this time of the year was something everyone looked forward to. I remember seeing the first signs of green was like finding money at my front door.

But here, spring just meant April. I miss that excitement I saw in everyone's eyes.

Nevertheless, here's my contributions for this theme:

Love is...

Join the challenge, and check out everyone's photos here!

Texture

I've decided to use this picture for the submission--Caleb playing with sand, in his newly-owned sandbox we bought for him (it really was just a HUGE and FLAT plastic container with a lid I got from Target).

So, if you are interested, hop over to this site and check it out. I sure hope to see your submission for next week's challenge. Happy Capture!

About me

I am a wife to a loving, thoughtful husband, a mother of two little angels. Because of my husband's job, we have relocated from New Jersey to Los Angeles three years ago. I miss everything back East..NYC, Gray's Papaya, the subway..but know that LA is where God wants us to be right now. His grace is sufficient; I can't live through a day without depending on Him. My love affair with photography began when I was sixteen years old, when I saw a photograph taken by my cousin at South Seaport in NYC--it was a light switch turned on somewhere inside me. When I came home, I dove into photography. Since then, I've always had a burning desire to pursue photography. It was unfortunately cut short due to choosing another field of study during my college years..not until I became a stay-at-home mom and a God-given opportunity early this year, I was able to finally reunite with this passion..and the rest is history.
