{Lisa & Ed}--We're Married! Sneak Peek

Alright. I asked you to stay tuned. Because there was something I was and still am so excited about--another opportunity to shoot a wedding. And remember that cherry on top?

Many months ago, when I first found out about this wedding, I was informed that I needed a second shooter. I pondered, wondered, and there was a name that came up. I prayed about it, thought long and hard about it, and decided to ask her.

She said yes! Sarah, a wonderful, talented, amazing self-taught photographer, was going to be my second shooter. We were going to work together.

You can't get better than this. An opportunity to shoot a wedding, and to work with Sarah. That was my story.

What an amazing experience I had. I can't even begin to tell you, how much fun I had with her. As we begin to sort through these photos, I ask you to wait for them patiently. Between six children, two husbands, and many other personal stuff to take care of, we will get them done. With an over-the-top eagerness, too.

Being married is...

...delightful, a dream come true, wonderful, amazing, fabulous, marvelous, magnificent, phenomenal, incredible.

While everything listed above rings true to my personal experience on being married, it is also hard work.

Very hard work.

Think of signing a lifelong contract with a phone company that does not provide you the best coverage it claims; when you are frustrated, wanting to make a phone call at that exact moment, you don't have any reception.

But most of the time, this phone company provides, offers everything you need. Not everything you want, but everything you need.

I cannot believe in just two more weeks, we will be celebrating our 6th anniversary. Six years of marital bliss, mixed in with a little bit of disappointments, and cloudy days. But I am willing to do it all over again, from day one.

I have learned to accept his imperfections, and still choose to love him despite of those. I have realized that you don't live happily ever after. I have accepted that I am not always right, no matter what. I have concluded that he is just as fragile and sensitive as I am. Most of all, I have prayed for a wonderful husband, but God did not give me a wonderful husband.

He gave me so much more than that.

I have also learned, when you have been married for 6 years, with two children and no personal life, going out on dates is a luxury.

Nevertheless, we treasure this short-lived luxury, with all our hearts, our souls, our beings.

Even if it's just a trip to a yogurt store.
