Clothes, Clothes, More Clothes
The other day I received a picture message from my sister. It was Caleb playing at a playground. No big deal, except that he looked so small in the picture. The crazy thing is, that picture was taken only exactly a year ago. Looking at the picture stirred up some emotions. Then, the both of us sent text messages to each other back and forth, remembering those days when Caleb was still so little. I think we finally stopped because I realized I would start crying if I kept going. Yes, it was that emotional.

The past few days I have been working on cleaning out their closet. Folding and refolding both Caleb and Abby's onesies and pajamas, I realized how much they have grown. We were so blessed to inherit some of the cutest, most styling outfits from friends. I still remember receiving a huge bag before Abby was born, and thought it would be forever before she would need new clothes again. Forever came and is now gone. Staring at those outfits she never had a chance to wear, reminded me that she is growing, way too fast.
Besides the fact, she also is one lucky girl. Going through her drawers full of bright colored shirts and flared jeans, eye-catching dresses and boutique-branded sweaters, I almost wished I was that small, so I have what she has. Chances are, she probably will not go through every piece, it is still nice to know I can play dress up with my own daughter. It is definitely more interesting to dress up a girl than a boy. Poor Caleb.
Well, at least, I have accomplished my first goal of the year--their closet is as presentable as The Gap--everything is current, neat, organized, clean. I will enjoy every minute of it before having to do this all over again.

Hey - thanks so much for being the first one to comment on my blog! It's nice to meet you (even just over the internet). I just can't stop laughing - your and benny's kids are so cute and funny (I really loved that post to Caleb!!). I'll be checking in regularly... again nice to meet you (finally - Benny talks about you all the time... good things only - don't worry!).
Good for you for cleaning out the closet! Isn't amazing how many clothes one little person (in your case, two!) can have! Is it bad that I secretly hope to have another boy someday JUST so he can rewear all these clothes (he has more brand name clothes then I do!) haha. But then again, I really want to buy lots of pink sparkly things and maryjanes...they are just too cute! I will take one of each please. :) Hope you are doing well!!
