This week, over here at

sepia tone is the theme for this weekly contest.

Adults Entry:
These are two of my best friends, whom I knew since high school. They are turning the big 3-0 this year. I don't think they are too thrilled.

Kids Entry:
This is my husband and my daughter, Abigail. We took her and her brother for a pony ride yesterday--she had a great time.

Now, it's time to hop over to

and check out others' entries. There are many, many talented, wonderful, inspiring photographers out there, you may be next!

The "30" picture is a riot!! I did the whole turning-30 thing last year, but I'm not sure I dreaded it as much as your buddies. :-) And the pic of your husband and daughter just couldn't be any sweeter.

Lori June 15, 2009 at 10:03 AM

HA! Love those numbers and your very creative idea! And the expressions are priceless... how fun!

Cute horse pic too. Mine was actually from a vineyard owned by some friends. They have a little mini-farm on their property too. It's Agua Dulce Vineyards.com (i think it's still LA county there). They are Christians and they make great wine. Makes a fun outing for everyone! :)

About me

I am a wife to a loving, thoughtful husband, a mother of two little angels. Because of my husband's job, we have relocated from New Jersey to Los Angeles three years ago. I miss everything back East..NYC, Gray's Papaya, the subway..but know that LA is where God wants us to be right now. His grace is sufficient; I can't live through a day without depending on Him. My love affair with photography began when I was sixteen years old, when I saw a photograph taken by my cousin at South Seaport in NYC--it was a light switch turned on somewhere inside me. When I came home, I dove into photography. Since then, I've always had a burning desire to pursue photography. It was unfortunately cut short due to choosing another field of study during my college years..not until I became a stay-at-home mom and a God-given opportunity early this year, I was able to finally reunite with this passion..and the rest is history.
