i♥faces--Bubbles

I was ecstatic when I found out my win last week at i&heart;faces. I was in Maine, getting ready to shoot a wedding...when the news came. Now I have no doubt people will always remember me as "the weird photographer" who jumped up and down (literally) on that special day.

That said...I just want to thank those of you who took your time to email me and wrote me your sweet encouraging words. I know this is such a small accomplishment (which wins me but a "button" to display on my blog), but it is fun, and it always challenges me to be more creative with my photos.

This week, bubbles is the theme. I took this photo a few weeks ago at a wedding. I think one could never be too old to enjoy some of the simplest things...

It's not a small accomplishment at all when you consider that your photo was chosen by a professional photographer as the top out of 439 entries! Woohoo! That's saying something.

I love this week's entry. It's a really fun twist have an adult blowing the bubbles. The flowers in her hair is like the icing on the cake.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww. Rosina! You are exactly the kind of person that deserves to win! Someone that jumps up and down is someone who appreciates the win! I love that : ). You totally deserve it. Your pictures are always outstanding! I love them! Love them! Love them! I am so happy for you!

And this week looks like it could be a winner too. How fab!

About me

I am a wife to a loving, thoughtful husband, a mother of two little angels. Because of my husband's job, we have relocated from New Jersey to Los Angeles three years ago. I miss everything back East..NYC, Gray's Papaya, the subway..but know that LA is where God wants us to be right now. His grace is sufficient; I can't live through a day without depending on Him. My love affair with photography began when I was sixteen years old, when I saw a photograph taken by my cousin at South Seaport in NYC--it was a light switch turned on somewhere inside me. When I came home, I dove into photography. Since then, I've always had a burning desire to pursue photography. It was unfortunately cut short due to choosing another field of study during my college years..not until I became a stay-at-home mom and a God-given opportunity early this year, I was able to finally reunite with this passion..and the rest is history.
