Here's an Update....

.....on our newly wrecked car:

--That it is considered as a total loss.

Bummed, we are just grateful that we did insure it when we picked up the car. It is going to be a waiting game from now on--from how much the car was worth at the time of the accident, to reporting to the (lovely) DMV, to registering as a salvaged title, to receiving money from the insurance, to purchasing another car, and so on. It will seem like forever before we will have a second car again, but heck, we will have a second car!

Thank you all for your thoughts and kind words during this Now-I-Think-Of-It-It-Really-Isn't-That-Big-Of-A-Deal time. Clearly, I was more emotional than Benny was. I shed many tears (yes, for a car) while Benny just looked forward to purchasing another one. While I dread waiting until I'm-Not-Sure-When to have that second car again, Benny goes through each day as if that whole episode does not even exist. He said I just have to think positive. Whoa. How come I never thought of that?
