Wedding Photographer

Usually, the title of this post and I have nothing in common. Usually, when you see the title phrase, you imagine a profession. Or, you think expensive. Or experience. For people like me, who sees photography as a hobby only, the title phrase represents a dream. A dream that may or may not come true one day(usually the latter) . Then you proceed to go on with your life, keeping this dream in the back of your head. Only if.

Well, only with what I would called a "miracle", this dream is actually becoming a reality. I am still in a shocking, Is-It-Really-Happening state; the actuality of being a wedding photographer has not sunk in yet. I am still at the surface level. The past two days I have been acting like a 7-year-old. When a 7-year-old was promised to go to Disneyland. Yeah. I am so delighted that I feel like I can fly up like a balloon. I feel high--if street drugs are supposed to make you feel "high", then this is the equivalent of using a street drug. Or a combination of a few.

Then, to add some delicious whipped cream(low-fat, too!) to a perfectly prepared cup of hot chocolate on a cold, winter day, one of my closest friends since high school is going to join me on this mission--she is coming to act as my "assistant". We are so excited we couldn't stop talking about this--we get to be creative, and the sky is our limit!

Ok, ok. You want to know, whose wedding, and when? August 15th, 2009. My bother-in-law in the Pine Tree State of Maine. In my future sister-in-law's current home, where her family owns some 100+ acres of land. Sounds dreamy, right? Well, it is. I can just see the green fields that never ends, the tall trees that will provide lovely shades in the hot summer, the delicate creeks that flow luminous pure liquid, and an opportunity to experience God and His beautiful creations. I am in a dream.

Meanwhile, I will need to experiment, practice, and just take limitless pictures from now on. No, that does not sound like work to me--I will be more than happy to do it--I will even work for free.

Many, many more of this to come

About me

I am a wife to a loving, thoughtful husband, a mother of two little angels. Because of my husband's job, we have relocated from New Jersey to Los Angeles three years ago. I miss everything back East..NYC, Gray's Papaya, the subway..but know that LA is where God wants us to be right now. His grace is sufficient; I can't live through a day without depending on Him. My love affair with photography began when I was sixteen years old, when I saw a photograph taken by my cousin at South Seaport in NYC--it was a light switch turned on somewhere inside me. When I came home, I dove into photography. Since then, I've always had a burning desire to pursue photography. It was unfortunately cut short due to choosing another field of study during my college years..not until I became a stay-at-home mom and a God-given opportunity early this year, I was able to finally reunite with this passion..and the rest is history.
