Staying home with my kids...
.....is a noble job. I have voiced my opinion before, how difficult it truly is. Click here to see more, if you haven't already.
.....is something I never thought I could do. Growing up in a family where Mom worked all the time, I never thought I had it in me.
.....is something my husband had told me, I will never be able to do (after staying home with the kids while I went grocery shopping), which, makes me feel this much better. I can do something he can't.
.....means I have to constantly fight the urge to clean up after my kids. I say, fight the urge, because there is really no point. You see, there is constant mess everywhere. At every corner of the house. Every. Corner.
.....means I have the opportunity to photograph my one-year-old doing a somersault at the edge of the couch, and not telling you what happens next.
.....means I become excited when they have friends over.. It's always fun to see how your children interact with other children and just do their thing--until you leave them alone for three minutes.
....makes Daddy and me time much more precious. After seeing me all day, it's nice to finally have someone who is willing to run around the house with them...instead of telling them to stop running around inside the house.
.....is rewarding. Really, despite the constant mess, it is very rewarding.
Did I say it is a noble job??

"Fight the urge" just might become my new motto! Oh my goodness...tell me the truth, did my boys make the kids room look like that...I am hoping Jason isn't knocking down Abby onto her face with that black container?
I think you have a very noble job :) After seeing what seeing what stay-at-home mom's do on a daily basis, makes me think that a 9 to 5 job would be a breeze for them!
You have a very tough job and it is never easy. But the precious time you have with them is always rewarding. And sometimes not ;)
I love all of your photos as you probably already know, but the summersault one and the one with the giraffe are faboulus.
Simply amazing ans breath taking
Did Abby fell of the couch?
Was she hurt?
Love your leaving them alone for three minutes shot. LOL. I really enjoy reality shots. But...I must say your carpets look outstandingly pristine considering. :)
What a great post! Staying home is so hard but also so rewarding (I have to remind myself of that). Love the pic of the messy room and it the middle of it all is your little girl.
