A day (ok..a few hours) with Caleb

Children are so simple. The things they desire, the things they want to do.

Really want to do.

On this day, Caleb wanted to take a ride on the trolley.

Really wanted to..

But not his sister.

"Uh-oh mommy.."

"Uh-OH!!" (At this point, he began to panic. He just realized he was not getting on the trolley that day.)

"Mommy..Caleb go that!" (translation: I'd like to go ride on the trolley, NOW.)

"Caleb go THAT!!"

Right after this, I had to deal with a crying child, whose dream of going on a trolley ride that day was shattered. Completely destroyed.

But this trolley desire was soon replaced by something else.

Children are so simple.

It's so true, I love how simple children are :)

It's never difficult to find a way to their hearts even with a shattered dream, replaced by an ice cream.

I absolutely love all the colors in these shots...so pretty. I love how you captured Caleb around the pole with his back turned. It really captures the mood. I can feel his longing to get on that trolley. BTW, that finger pointing...so cute. And ice cream, yeah...that always works here too. ;-)

About me

I am a wife to a loving, thoughtful husband, a mother of two little angels. Because of my husband's job, we have relocated from New Jersey to Los Angeles three years ago. I miss everything back East..NYC, Gray's Papaya, the subway..but know that LA is where God wants us to be right now. His grace is sufficient; I can't live through a day without depending on Him. My love affair with photography began when I was sixteen years old, when I saw a photograph taken by my cousin at South Seaport in NYC--it was a light switch turned on somewhere inside me. When I came home, I dove into photography. Since then, I've always had a burning desire to pursue photography. It was unfortunately cut short due to choosing another field of study during my college years..not until I became a stay-at-home mom and a God-given opportunity early this year, I was able to finally reunite with this passion..and the rest is history.
